Thomas (Tom) Abruzzo is a PhD student of Leadership Studies at the University of San Diego studying Nonprofit and Philanthropic Leadership with particular interest in the field of Arts Administration. At USD's Nonprofit Institute, Tom works as a Doctoral Research Assistant to create and share knowledge, develop nonprofit leaders, and strengthen nonprofit organizations. He also serves as the Artistic and Community Engagement Coordinator for Davis Shakespeare Festival, where he has the pleasure of creating, leading, and managing the academic- and practice-based internship program. He holds an M.A. in Arts Leadership and Cultural Management from Colorado State University and a B.A. in Music from Rowan University, and works professionally as a freelance pianist/music director, arts administrator, and Lecturer in USD's Department of Leadership Studies.
