How are university arts programs preparing students for the transition from the academy to their careers? The importance of this question has heightened since the COVID19 pandemic. In addition, is it worth considering if and how we leverage university resources to support the continued development and growth of our arts alumni?

Researchers from three varying university environments are exploring the needs of our alumni through one-on-one interviews and a follow-up survey. Researchers will be reporting on the outcomes from these conversations with an eye toward using this analysis to inform curricular and program development intended to support the creative worker as we emerge post COVID.

How does higher education support our alumni and creative workers in the Arts & Entertainment Sectors before their only choice is to transition to another career?
